The LRC needs you!

The LRC is recruiting for new LRC Assistants to join our team...

South Sefton students can volunteer their time to improve the college's LRC, whilst learning valuable new skills. You will work alongside staff and students to help them find and use resources in the centre; working during break, lunch time and free periods. Full training will be given. For details and application forms, please visit us in the LRC for more information.

Welcome to the Learning Resource Centre

Who?

The LRC is the perfect place to find support and assistance; the LRC Manager and the LRC Assistants can help with resources and services, the IT Technician is available for technical support or if you need careers guidance, then the FE/HE Advisor is based in the LRC.

What?
The LRC houses a suite of PCs, Apple Macs and a catalogue of subject specific and extended reading resources in a variety of formats to fit each student; so if you prefer print, multimedia or online resources there is something for everyone.

Where?
There is an environment to suit individual needs, with four distinct spaces to choose from; the spacious quiet study area inside the LRC, the balcony, the designated silent study room or the group study zone outside the LRC.

Why?
The LRC is a place to relax or study in a friendly and informal atmosphere and just as the kitchen is said to be the heart of the home, the LRC is the heart of the college.
